I was invited by Vincent Savard. I honestly did not know what to expect, but I knew that I still carried a lot of pain and baggage from a troubled, extremely violent childhood. At the first bootcamp, a complete stranger reached out, hugged me, and said “God told me you needed that.” No ulterior motive, no hidden agenda, just love. Blew me away. I carried pain and shame for decades. I would talk about it, and what had been done to me, but I always carried my baggage, not knowing how to truly let go. At camp, I was encouraged to lay down my defenses and my burdens. I knew that Christ died for us, but somehow, I never felt that His death was for me, as well. All that changed at the first bootcamp I attended, and the second and third camps built a stronger foundation. I had a lot of inner healing. Today, I still carry my battle scars, but through Christ and the bootcamps, I am set free. Thank you, Jesus, and thank you, Vincent Savard.
